FRTI FIRST RESPONSE INSTRUCTOR

The FRTI First Response Instructor Course at OCD Divers prepares you to teach CPR, AED, First Aid, and layperson rescue programs using the internationally recognized curriculum from First Response Training International. This non‑diving professional‑level program is ideal for individuals who want to teach life‑saving skills, support workplace safety programs, or expand their role within the dive industry. Training follows international standards and is fully ILCOR compliant.

This course follows First Response Training International standards and provides the knowledge and skills needed to teach emergency care programs confidently and effectively:

• Instructor methodology — Teach CPR, AED, First Aid, and layperson rescue using proven instructional techniques.
• Course structure & delivery — Run classes using e‑learning, classroom sessions, and hands‑on practice.

This non‑diving professional‑level course includes academic development, instructor‑level skill demonstrations, practice teaching sessions, and evaluation. Successful candidates earn certification as an Emergency Care Instructor, allowing them to teach CPR, AED, First Aid, and other layperson rescue programs.

Prerequisites: Minimum age 18. Prior emergency care certification required. Teaching experience recommended but not mandatory.

Equipment needed: No scuba gear is required. All instructor materials, manikins, and AED trainers are provided.

This non‑diving instructor‑level program is taught entirely at OCD Divers shop. Private and small‑group professional development sessions are available.

No personal equipment is required for this course. All CPR manikins, AED trainers, and instructor materials are provided by OCD Divers.
