Somervell County Water District opened Wheeler Branch Park on August 7, 2010. Divers enjoy several underwater attractions including two helicopters, an airplane, a school bus, sailboat, and a creepy clown. There is one training platform. This is a public park with fishing, swimming, and grilling too. It is not an exclusive dive destination and there are activities for the whole family. Amenities: covered pavilions and a restroom.
Twin Vee Key is a private Scuba diving lake open by appointment only. It is carved from a natural draw in the ranch land of Parker County and fed by natural springs and runoff water. In-water attractions, and on-shore amenities include: unique underwater topography, shore and dock entries, training platforms, sunken wrecks, wildlife, air fill station, picnic pavilions, tent/RV areas, and clean showers/bathrooms.
The Scuba Ranch, formerly known as Clear Springs Scuba Park, opened June 15, 2001. It is a 22 acre spring-fed lake that has one of the most beautiful, natural habitats seen in a Texas Lake. Underwater attractions and wildlife are awaiting your exploration! Also, the Scuba Ranch is home to the "largest freshwater shark in North America", Sisco the Shark. Amenities: air fills, gear rental, covered pavilions, camping, and snacks.
Athens Scuba Park is a private dive park with a dive shop attached. There's lots to see including an airplane. This park is for certified divers only, so be sure you bring your c-card! This is a clay-bottom lake so be sure to stay off the bottom to keep visibility good for everyone. Amenities: They sell and rent gear, fill tanks, have restrooms, and offer primitive and RV camping on-site.

The Blue Lagoon is a private dive training lake for divers only and by reservation only. It is a small operation but beautiful. There's some underwater attractions to visit, such as a school bus and training platform. The clear blue water nestled among trees and sandy shore form a beautiful setting to train. Amenities: rental gear, air and nitrox tank fills, and covered pavilions.
Windy Point Park is one of the top diving “hot spots” in the Central Texas area. Divers will find boat wrecks and unique metal sculptures of a scuba diver, a sea turtle and a shark along with other interesting objects. There are various boats, a Pinto and more! (See the detailed map). Amenities: air fills, minor repairs, carts, camping, wi-fi, picnic tables, dive platforms, and restrooms.

Divers will complete these adventure dives: Deep, Navigation, Texas Lone Star State Diver, and two others of your choosing.
Open to certified divers ages 12 and up. If completing Advanced Open Water this weekend, since it is 5 dives, only Enriched Air Diver can be added.
At the Scuba Ranch
This will be the non-diving version of the class conducted lakeside, so it will not count against your three training dives a day limit.
Starts at Athens Scuba Park and ends at The Blue Lagoon
2 dives. Dive 1 will combine with TXLSS, Dive 2 will be the certifying dive.
At Twin Vee Key, $10 boat fee payable at TVK
2 Dives. Dive 1 will combine with TXLSS diver. Dive 2 will be Boat Diver certification and cannot be combined with other dives. Only one other dive location Saturday can a training dive.
At The Scuba Ranch
3 Dives. Open to certified divers ages 12 and up.
Dive 1 will combine with TXLSS diver. Dives 2 and 3 will be stand-alone certification dives. Bring your own lights or add their use to your tuition for $29. If adding this specialty, same day dives at other sites are orientation dives and not counted toward your TXLSS certification and you will need to complete dives at all three locations Sunday to finish TXLSS certification.
Starts at Wheeler Branch, ends at Twin Vee Key.
3 Dives. Open to certified divers ages 12 and up. Dives 1 and 2 will be combined with TXLSS diver, dive 3 will be UW Navigation. All other dives Saturday will be orientation dives.
