The Adult, Child & Infant Emergency Care Course at OCD Divers is a non‑diving program that teaches CPR, AED use, and first aid skills for emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. This comprehensive training prepares you to recognize an emergency, respond confidently, and provide life‑saving care until professional help arrives. The program meets international standards and is OSHA and ILCOR compliant.

What You’ll Learn

This course follows First Response Training International standards and covers essential emergency care skills:

  • CPR techniques: One‑person CPR for adults, children, and infants.
  • AED operation: Safe and effective use of automated external defibrillators for all age groups.
  • First aid skills: How to manage common injuries, workplace incidents, and serious emergencies.
  • Emergency recognition: How to evaluate a victim and determine the appropriate response.
  • EMS activation: When and how to alert emergency medical services.
  • Scene safety: How to protect yourself and others during an emergency.

Program Overview

This course includes academic training followed by hands‑on skills practice in a classroom setting. Students will learn CPR, AED use, and first aid techniques through instructor‑led demonstrations and scenario‑based practice. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certification recognized for workplace, community, and diving‑related requirements.

Equipment needed: No scuba gear is required. All training materials, manikins, and AED trainers are provided.

Where Training Takes Place

This non‑diving specialty is taught at OCD Divers in Colleyville or at lake locations when scheduled in conjunction with Rescue Diver classes. All classroom materials and practice equipment are provided for hands‑on learning.

Required Gear

No personal equipment is required for this course. All CPR manikins, AED trainers, and first aid supplies are provided by OCD Divers.

What Comes Next
