You’ll learn how to use a mask, snorkel, fins, and a snorkeling vest with confidence. Training begins with relaxed surface snorkeling and progresses into basic skin‑diving techniques, focusing on comfort, breathing control, clearing skills, and smooth movement in the water.

We provide all rental gear for the course at no additional charge. If you prefer to use your own equipment, we offer a large selection of high‑quality snorkeling gear for purchase. Many students enjoy learning with their own gear so they’re already familiar with it before a vacation or future scuba training.

Training is conducted at our OCD Divers pool in Colleyville and, when appropriate, at a local lake to simulate real‑world snorkeling conditions. Parents are welcome — and encouraged — to join their kids in the water. Each participant registers for their own course spot, and families often book the class together as a shared experience that builds comfort and confidence.

Prerequisites: Basic swimming ability.

Minimum age: 18, or at least four years old with parental consent.

eLearning: A short, self‑paced online module (about 20 minutes) must be completed before your in‑water session.

Private sessions are available for $99.99 per person and include a 1.5‑hour personalized lesson with flexible scheduling. This option is ideal for families, kids, nervous swimmers, or anyone who prefers one‑on‑one attention. All rental gear is included, and students may use or purchase their own equipment if they prefer.

Snorkeler training is offered at four locations, giving students a wide range of environments to build confidence and comfort:

• The Scuba Ranch — open‑water lake environment with platforms and varied visibility.

After completing the Snorkeler Diver Course, many students continue with:

Do I have to be a strong swimmer?
