Referral Version of Open Water Diver
The Open Water Referral Diver Course is perfect for travelers who want to complete their eLearning and pool training before heading to a tropical destination. This flexible option allows you to begin your certification with OCD Divers, then finish your four open water dives with a qualified instructor from SDI, PADI, SSI, NAUI, PSS, or another recognized agency while on vacation. Once your dives are complete and paperwork is signed, OCD Divers will process your certification. This is an ideal winter option for divers who want to enjoy their trip without spending the first few days in a classroom or pool. You’ll arrive ready to dive and complete your certification in warm water with a local instructor.

Important Information About Required Personal Gear
Each diver must have personal gear for training. To ensure safety and proper fit, all personal gear must be obtained through OCD Divers. Since you will be traveling, in addition to personal gear, we recommend buying a wetsuit and travel bag from OCD Divers and for maximum enjoyment, consider buying a set of scuba gear to take with you. That way you can train in your gear and ensure you have quality dive equipment at your destination. We offer complete gear packages, rentals, and certification add ons that can be picked up from the shop or the day of your class.

Referrals Process
Complete your eLearning and pool work with OCD Divers, then finish your dives on vacation.
Course fees include the eLearning and pool segments only. OCD Divers supplies Scuba gear and tanks for pool sessions. Divers are responsible for contacting a destination dive center and paying them directly for the open water dives. OCD Divers will gladly help coordinate the referral process and provide all required documentation.

- Sign up online by selecting a class below. Each listing shows available spaces, dates, and times.
- Fill out the Diver Information Form so we can prepare your eLearning and class materials. Click here to complete the form.
- Select your personal gear. All required personal gear and tanks must be obtained through OCD Divers. You can review all options on our Gear Packages and Add Ons page.
- We will send your digital forms through PandaDoc along with your eLearning so you can get started right away.
